  As Bette Davis would have said, "What a dump!" Nine people sharing one bathroom, are you kidding me? This place has seen no upkeep in a long, long time, it's furnished with thrift store junk, the road noise is incredible (it sits right on a busy highway), there's no air conditioning so you have to open your windows to all the noise. How it got licensed is a mystery (if it even is), as this place is a firetrap. No tv, no internet, no phone. Piles of old tvs and other trash in the parking lot. Lots of better options in the area.

  We love the Hamdenn Inn! Its been in operation since the 1840s! Part of the low- key charm is that it hasnt been over renovated. You feel the history of the people that have been there before you. Our favorite thing to do is sit in the bar and have dinner and a few beers. There is a model train that runs around the ceiling perimeters. The bar is turn of the century i think. You dont see many like it anywhere anymore. Im vegetarian and love their lucky dog veggie burger and local greens on the side. (From lucky dog farm accross the street.) Dont expect to go in and get quick service and leave in a hurry -the limited staff wear and juggle many hats- but it will always be a very friendly and laid back experience.
